Aden, Newsyemen, private:

On Tuesday evening, Yemenia Airlines announced that it will suspend flights to and from all Yemeni airports starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18th, for a period of two weeks.

Al-Yamania said in a statement that this comment is based on government directives.

The Yemenia Airlines, in the statement, apologized to its passengers for stopping its flights as a result of the global emergency and government directives as part of the precautionary measures to combat the Corona virus.

"Al-Yemenia" affirmed at the end of the statement its commitment to its travelers by booking the holders of tickets issued at the earliest opportunity once the operation resumed, as well as extending the validity of the tickets for expiry for the duration of the arrest.

At the same time, it announced the exemption of tickets from all fines resulting from this arrest.

The government of interim President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi announced last Saturday the suspension of all flights to and from Yemeni airports it controlled for a period of two weeks, starting on Wednesday, in the context of precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus.

The decision to suspend humanitarian flights excluded.

Three major airports are currently operating: Aden, Sayun, and Socotra, all of which are located in areas controlled by the legitimate government, while the rest of Yemen's international and domestic airports have been stalled for more than four years in front of civil flights, including Sanaa International Airport, for their presence in areas controlled by the Houthi militia.
