Taiz, Newsyemen, private :

Military police in Taiz Governorate refused to hand over a soldier of the Taiz axis who had deliberately killed a minibus driver in Jamal Street in central Taiz city 20 days ago.

The murder of Wasim Ali Alwan Al-Qabbati happened while he was stopping on Jamal Street to drop a passenger, as the killer Farouk Al-Taweel insulted him and shot him from the back, so the bullet penetrated the driver’s chair, exited from his chest, and immediately breathed.

Street surveillance cameras document the killing and the killer's return to the kit without heeding his crime.

Documents showed that the military police refused to hand over the killer and the crime tool to criminal investigation and the central prison, as the Taiz memo and the criminal investigation memo in the governorate clarified.

The Public Prosecution in Taiz sent a court memo to the military police to transfer the murderer Farouk al-Taweel to the central prison in the governorate, while providing the necessary protection to bring him to prison.

The Criminal Investigation Department also requested the military police leadership to hand it over to the crime tool that was with it, but the military police refused judicial and security orders and still have reservations about the killer and protect them from judicial procedures.

The people of Al-Hasab neighborhood, to which the victim Wasim Alwan belongs, refused to bury his body unless the murderer Faruq Al-Taweel was handed over and deposited in the central prison, and they carried out protests in front of the governorate headquarters and in the Al-Hasab area to demand the handover of the killer.
