On Tuesday, the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - isolated a number of liberated areas in Al-Hodeidah Governorate from the world, following the cutting of communications and Internet services.

Local residents in the districts of Hays and Al-Khokha said that the mobile phone communication network and Internet service stopped completely, causing the suspension of commercial and relief businesses and isolating citizens from the world.

The cutting off of communications and internet services disrupts life in Al-Khokha, which has turned into a temporary capital for Hodeidah and is the largest incubator city for international organizations, exchange centers, and commercial and service institutions.

A private electrical company was also unable to manage its supplied systems in citizens' homes, and the electricity supply was no longer efficient enough.

Local sources told "Newsyemen " that the optical fibers in the Al-Jarahi directorate, which is controlled by the Houthi militia that feeds Al-Khokha and Hays, have been subjected to deliberate acts of sabotage by Iran's arm.

The service cutoff coincided with attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on the joint forces' positions in Hays and new violations in Al-Tuhaita and Al-Hodeidah.

The Houthi militia has previously taken to cut communication networks and the Internet as a collective punishment to block the violations against civilians and its repeated violations of the UN-supported humanitarian truce.
