Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

An official source in the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in the unrecognized Houthi government said that the militia leadership in the ministry began implementing a separation process between male and female employees at the level of the ministry’s general office.

The source added, in a special statement to NewsYemen, that the Houthi militia supervisors in the ministry began to prevent the work of female employees in the various departments and divisions of the Ministry’s general office alongside the employees, as separate rooms are allocated for female employees with the justification that this comes within the framework of allegations of "preserving moral values."

According to the source, these measures were rejected by the ministry's employees, who considered them a violation of their rights and an effort to impose ideological agendas for the militias that contradict the constitution, laws and women's rights guaranteed by the constitution.

He pointed out that the militia supervisors insisted on implementing their plan, threatening all those who opposed it to take punitive measures against him.

The separation measures between male and female employees, by the Houthi militia, come within the framework of violating the privacy of citizens, in their areas of control, under false pretenses, which began to close the cafes, in addition to the measures that were implemented at the level of shops selling women's dresses and fashion and the burning of certain models of women's abayas.
