Aden, NewsYemen:

Coast Guard forces, on the island of Socotra, southeast of Yemen, seized a truck smuggling petroleum products from a fuel ship belonging to the merchant Ahmed Al-Eisi, anchored at the port of Holaf.

A security source said that the security services seized quantities of diesel while the truck was smuggling it from the ship to be sold on the black market at high prices.

He explained that the merchant Al-Eisi, who is close to the Brotherhood, and who is the deputy director of the office of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, refused to empty the fuel from the ship and sell it to the filling stations at the official price, and assigned a network to sell it on the black market.

The source indicated that the Coast Guard transported the truck with the quantities of diesel to Al Shamil Police Station in Hadibo District, in preparation for taking the necessary measures.
