Major disagreements plague the Brotherhood’s authority formations, the Islah Party, in Shabwa governorate, according to an official source in the governorate.
The source told "NewsYemen" that the Special Forces in Ataq attempted to assassinate the Director of Political Security, Ali Sweilem, and the Director of National Security, Mohsen Al-Hindus, in the city of Ataq on Tuesday.
The source stated that the Special Forces' attempt to assassinate the heads of the Political and National Security was the result of disagreements, and the first deliberately provoked officials in the governorate.
He said that this militia operates as a separate device, which angered the Shabwa Security Director.
The source indicated, in the context of his speech, that the armed formations and officials in Shabwa are not in agreement, and that there are differences that will appear to the public soon.
The Special Forces were deployed in Shabwa since August 2019, and they were not present in the governorate before this date.
This faction, loyal to the Islah party, is accused of committing violations, and it had launched a campaign of arrests of soldiers in the Shabwa elite.
