Aden, NewsYemen:

The World Health Organization (WHO) denied the Houthi militia’s media allegations regarding the organization’s apology for transporting Siamese twins, who are in a hospital in Sana’a, abroad for treatment.

The UN agency said, in a tweet on the account of its office in Yemen, on Monday, “The World Health Organization’s office in Yemen denies what was published in local media about the organization’s apology for transporting Siamese twins, who are currently in a hospital in Sana’a, abroad to receive treatment.”

Al Sabeen Hospital in Sana'a had launched a humanitarian call to move to treat the Siamese twins outside the country, because the hospital specializing in motherhood and childhood does not have the capabilities to carry out such a separation process.

According to medical sources, the Houthi militia rejected an offer from the United Nations to transfer the Siamese twins out of Yemen, under the auspices of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action.

The sources confirmed that the Houthis did not inform the family or the doctors monitoring the condition of the two children in the hospital, who need urgent treatment abroad.
