Marib, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

With the intensification of the battles on the fronts of Ma'rib, the competition between the Houthi groups and the Brotherhood intensifies to give a religious color to these battles to cover up the failure of each of them to achieve their goals on the ground.

The Houthi group took the lead in this competition and launched its attack on the city of Marib with a religious speech early last February from the prominent leader of the group, Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, who claimed that there was a "divine directive to liberate Marib" .. where Al-Bukhaiti claimed at the time that "the Yemeni people are fighting a decisive battle that will ensue." It has the fate of the nation, and the Mareb front is the separating front that will determine the fate of this battle. "

Al-Bakhiti supported his narration by inferring the Qur’an verse which says (If the kings enter a village, they corrupt it and make its dear people humiliated).

Three months after Al-Bakhiti’s speech and his assertion at the time that the battle would be resolved quickly and within days, his group’s militia on the ground failed to achieve a significant breakthrough that would bring it closer to the city of Ma'rib, which is still 15 km away from it.

With this failure on the ground, the Houthi group continued its religious and sectarian rhetoric through its leaders and media to mobilize fighters to the fronts of Marib and compensate for its heavy losses in the human element as a result of the coalition raids and the resistance of the Marib tribes.

The last thing issued by the group in this context, was a tweet by the leader Ali a checkpoint that provoked sarcastic reactions for two days, after he linked the battle of Marib with the struggle that took place between Imam Ali and Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan more than 1,400 years ago.

Where he described the militia checkpoint of his group as "the army of Imam Ali, peace be upon him," which he said "is still in the sleep of the people of hypocrisy and tyranny ... bombing the kingdom of hypocrisy ... crawling on the tent of Muawiyah in Marib and negotiating with the dignity of those who kneel before it from the representatives of the axis of evil in Amman."

Amazingly, Hajib's tweet coincided with another religious rhetoric describing the battle for Marib by a military spokesperson in the legitimate army that is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Where the head of the military media sector with the legitimate army, Colonel Yahya Al-Hatami, in his intervention on the "Al-Hadath" channel, strangely linked the intensification of the battles at the Kassara front in western Ma'rib and the story of the "elephant owners" mentioned in the Quran and goes back to the attempt of the Ethiopian ruler on Yemen, Abraha Al-Ashram, to demolish The Kaaba using elephants 1,400 years ago.

Al-Hatami said that “the al-Kassara front in western Ma'rib was a corridor for the Abraha army that set out from Yemen to demolish the Kaaba in Mecca,” claiming that the Houthi militia was trying to “follow the same road of Abraha’s army to destroy the Kaaba in Mecca,” stressing that it was seeking access to the cities of Makkah and Madinah The two holy places in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Hatami continued his speech in linking the two incidents by saying that "God sent Ababeel's army to destroy them, and today in the modern era God sent Salman's birds to them," referring to the coalition's aviation.
