Hadhramaut Governor Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi revealed the most prominent issues that top his concerns and follow-up during the current period in light of the escalating popular ferment in the Hadhramaut valley and desert, which demands the departure of the forces of the First Military District loyal to the Brotherhood and the replacement of a new force from the people of the governorate.
The governor, who is currently visiting both Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, said in a statement published by the media office that his visit "comes to follow up on the urgent issues of the governorate, which are directly related to citizens, especially the security file, Al-Rayyan Airport and electricity."
He explained that the security file is at the fore of his concerns and follow-up, especially the process of extending security to the entire lands of Hadramout with security and military cadres from its sons. In a clear indication of the popular demand that has escalated during the past weeks, to expel the forces of the First Military District and replace them with new military forces from the people of Hadramawt.
Regarding Al-Rayyan Airport and electricity, Ibn Madi said that the resumption of foreign flights to Al-Rayyan International Airport is currently being followed up, as well as follow-up directives of accreditation issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, to support Hadhramout electricity.
