Barakani condemns the kidnapping of school principals by the Houthis in Sanaa

The Speaker of the legitimacy Parliament, the Assistant Secretary-General of the General People's Congress, Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, on Tuesday condemned the kidnapping of seven school principals in Sana'a by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, and taking them to unknown places.


Al-Barakani said, in a statement posted on his Facebook page, that these terrorist practices by the Houthi militia are a flagrant violation of the charters, customs, international treaties and all values and beliefs and are considered a blatant violation of the dignity of the Yemeni people ..



He pointed out that it comes in the context of criminal acts that the coup militia has become accustomed to committing against the Yemeni people with its various components, especially its continuing violations against Yemeni women and intimidation of civilians since their coup in the year 2014


"The Houthi militia continues to be intransigent and reject the delinquency of peace, and undermines all efforts and endeavors of the international community and the legitimate government to reach a just peacebuilding, stability, and an end to the war in Yemen," the statement added.



Al-Barakani held the Houthi militia responsible for the safety of the kidnapped school principals and the possible criminal acts and illegal abuses against them that contradict all international and humanitarian laws.


The President of the House of Representatives called on the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen, the Human Rights Council, UNESCO and all international and humanitarian organizations and the international community to take firm positions and move urgently to pressure the Houthi militia in order to speed up the release of the kidnapped school principals as well as the release of all those who are forcibly disappeared in its prisons and prisons and deter all criminal practice.
