Yemeni students in Malaysia are asking for their dues to face the quarantine

The Yemeni students in Malaysia sent a letter to the Prime Minister and those involved in higher education and the Yemeni embassy, in which they appealed to pay the rest of their entitlements to meet the burdens of daily life and quarantine, and to pay the rest of the university fees.

This came through a statement issued by the executive body of the Association of Yemeni University Delegates and other scholarships.

They also appealed to the concerned authorities to put a solution to the problem of repeated and continuous delays for more than 3 years, which is delaying the disbursement of financial dues, and demanded that a clear and transparent mechanism be established to solve this dilemma.

For his part, M. said. Hossam Al-Dais, President of the Association: God does not combine two difficulties. In addition to delaying the dues, a Corona epidemic appeared, and no one turned to our suffering even though the epidemic shook the world, which led the government of Malaysia to prevent roaming even while.

The statement added that the students had taken good notice of the statements of the Ministry of Higher Education through the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Mazen Al-Jafri, on 10/2/2020 that the Ministry was about to complete the statements to start the process of transferring the dues, but they were surprised that the matter was just promises.
The association's statement concluded by asking the concerned authorities to be at the level of responsibility, and the necessity to decide the payment of the remaining dues for the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first and second quarters of the year 2020.

In the same context, Al-Dais asserted that the situation experienced by the scholars there is catastrophic, and it does not tolerate any delay.

He added, "We are surprised by the coldness with which the government deals with its student children, although the dues have been approved within the general budget."

He explained that the Association of Yemeni University Delegations continues to escalate in the event of non-response and will not stop until they receive their full entitlements.
