Aden, newsyemen:

A large group of Yemenis stranded in Sudan have called on the government of legitimacy, the Arab alliance and the United Nations to work to bring them home as soon as possible.

In their statement on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the protesters said they have been going through difficult conditions for more than two months without paying attention since the ban began and flights have been suspended.

A special source confirmed to Newsyemen, that the detainees tried more than once to communicate their voice but they had difficulty in doing so, and they worked to communicate with the Yemeni embassy and file statements of the names of the detainees, but this was met with promises without implementation.

The 1,130 of the 1,130 detainees have returned from Turkey, Malaysia, India and China, while the second group is an estimated 500 students who have completed their postgraduate studies from their master's and doctoral degrees in Sudan.

The protesters complained that they were living in a tragic situation and complete isolation due to the country's emergencies, deteriorating economic situation and the Corona pandemic.

They also face severe difficulty due to the living situation and high housing rents, and the majority live to help each other.

The death of Dr. Ahmed Al-Amami, who returned from Turkey less than a month ago in Khartoum, due to the exposure to MERS-CoV, has been a concern for Yemeni students.
