A celebration sponsored by the Yemeni ambassador to the United States, Muhammad Al-Hadrami, in New York City, on the occasion of the 60th National Day of the eternal September 26 revolution, turned into an event to offend the Arab coalition in Yemen.
A video clip showed a person wearing the Yemeni flag and giving a speech, during the celebration, in which he attacked Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
It was remarkable in the video, that the photographer shined the phone lens on the Yemeni ambassador to Washington, Muhammad Al-Hadrami, who was sitting at the front of the celebration hall with a wide smile on his face as an expression of his admiration for the speaker on the podium's insult to the United Arab Emirates.
The leader of the Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed Awad bin Farid, published part of the video recording, on his Twitter account, and attached it to a comment that stated: “At the September 26 celebration in New York, in the presence and sponsorship of the Yemeni ambassador to the United States of America, words and poems were said that defame and slander the Kingdom and the Emirates.
And Ibn Farid added: "To the Presidential Leadership Council, what are you doing?"
He continued, addressing Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak: "The ambassador who is known for his opponents of the coalition represents your ministry, are you satisfied with this?"
